Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the General Manager of Steel Making
  • Conducting research to gather relevant information for meetings and correspondence
  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Managing the office independently during the Manager’s absence
  • Screening phone calls and directing them appropriately
  • Maintaining the Manager’s diary and schedules

  • Ordering and controlling office equipment, stationary, and refreshments
  • Typing correspondence, memorandums, and other documents
  • Administering Time and Attendance records and uploading data onto the AMSA KPI system

  • Managing and maintaining the KPI systems
  • Follow-up on current matters and coordinating meetings and functions

Minimum Requirements

Qualification

  • Grade 12 / NCV Level 4 (NQF 4/10)

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience with secretarial skills
  • Proficiency in Windows, SAP, MS Office, Intranet, Outlook

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent planning and execution skills
  • Good customer service and administrative skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relations at all levels
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Pro-active, initiative-driven, and performance-oriented

  • Ability to work under pressure
