Job Description
The successful candidate will join our team in Johannesburg and receive comprehensive training in the FAST financial modelling methodology in MS Excel.
This method is essential for long-term budgeting, operational analysis, and transactional financial models.
The role involves engaging with project documentation, performing model assurance, and interacting with prominent clients including energy and infrastructure project financiers, investors, developers, government agencies, and advisors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct model assurance and auditing following the shadow modelling approach
- Review project-related documents such as credit agreements, tax and accounting reports, and payment mechanisms
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of model auditing processes and procedures
- Engage with clients across the energy and infrastructure sectors to support project financing needs
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Proficiency in English for clear communication of technical ideas, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent academic background, preferably with studies in accounting and/or finance
- Strong analytical skills with a critical and questioning approach
- Enjoy solving complex logic problems and anticipating questions
- Motivated by the energy and infrastructure sectors, with an interest in financing real-life projects with societal value
- An innovative mindset, capable of following processes while seeking continuous improvements
- A team player willing to contribute to and learn from a dynamic environment
