Job Overview

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Group Citizen Relationship and Urban Management Department (CRUM), is offering an Internship opportunity for a period not exceeding eighteen (18) months.

Location: Traduna House, 118 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein

This internship is designed to provide practical experience in administrative support within the Citizen Relationship and Urban Management sector, focusing on integrated service delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric 
  • National Diploma / Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, Marketing and Communications, or a related qualification (completed with a minimum of 360 credits).

  • Knowledge of Computer Applications (MS Office Applications).
  • Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered.

Primary Function

Provide effective and comprehensive administrative support to the Citizen Relationship and Urban Management Department (CRUM), specifically within the Integrated Service Delivery and Stakeholder Interface Unit, ensuring departmental efficiency.

  • Coordination of administrative requirements related to Integrated Service Delivery and Stakeholder Interface functions.
  • Promotion of efficiency in hosting service delivery operations across various regions.

  • Enhancement of stakeholder management/interface and internal communications services.
  • Collation and preparation of qualitative and quantitative data for statutory reports.

Leading Competencies

  • Proficiency in MS Office Packages (Word, Excel).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Effective record-keeping abilities.
