Qualifications and Experience

Minimum qualification:

  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent at NQF 6 with 4 years of relevant work experience, or
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent at NQF 7 with 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent at NQF 8 (advantageous).

Essential Competencies

  • Extensive knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures, and systems related to supply chain management
  • Experience with procurement systems (advantageous)

  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management ActTreasury Regulations, and Generally Recognized Accounting Practice
  • Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communicationinterpersonal skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • People management abilities

  • High computer literacy (MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience and willingness to travel

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with Request for Quotation/Tender processes
  • Support the development of terms of reference and site inspections
  • Help with tender evaluation processes

  • Aid in generation of purchase orders and processing invoices
  • Support governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives
