Qualifications and Experience
Minimum qualification:
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent at NQF 6 with 4 years of relevant work experience, or
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent at NQF 7 with 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent at NQF 8 (advantageous).
Essential Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures, and systems related to supply chain management
- Experience with procurement systems (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Generally Recognized Accounting Practice
- Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills
- Strong report writing skills
- People management abilities
- High computer literacy (MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience and willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Request for Quotation/Tender processes
- Support the development of terms of reference and site inspections
- Help with tender evaluation processes
- Aid in generation of purchase orders and processing invoices
- Support governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives
