Eskom’s NTCSA is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the role of Officer Environmental Management within the Northern Grid business unit.
Job Title: Officer Environmental Management
Location: Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa
Organization: National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA)

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing environmental activities within the designated area of the business, ensuring compliance with legislative and organizational standards.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s)
- National Diploma in Environmental Management at NQF 6 with 240 Credits
Experience
- At least 3 post-qualification years of experience in environmental management.

- Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).
- Conducting Environmental Impact Assessments.
- Navigating statutory environmental approval processes (e.g., Environmental Authorisation, Waste Licences, Water Use Licences).
- Knowledge of Environmental Law, auditing, and incident investigations.
- Understanding of environmental risk assessments and due diligence.
Skills
- Strong communication and diversity management skills.
- Analytical and logical thinking.
- Attention to detail.
- Negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to produce professional reports.
- Knowledge of Eskom policies, procedures, and directives.
- Familiarity with national and provincial environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements.
- Facilitate the approval process for environmental permits.
- Develop and monitor Environmental Management Plans.
- Conduct environmental investigations.
