Khumani Mine is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join their team as a Quality Controller Stores.
Location: Khumani Mine, approximately 29 km from Kathu, Southern Kalahari
Organization: Assmang (Pty) Ltd – Khumani Iron Ore Mine
Closing Date: 06 July 2025
This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development within the organization.
The position involves managing the quality of stock items, ensuring compliance with specifications, and supporting procurement and stock management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect critical spares received and evaluate suppliers
- Assist in procurement and compile service level agreements
- Catalog stock items and manage maintenance schedules
- Provide technical support to procurement and category managers
- Ensure SHERQ compliance and uphold work ethics
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety in all tasks
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Trade test with minimum N4 Engineering Certificate
Essential Experience:
- At least 5 years of operational quality control experience in a Supply Chain environment
- Minimum 2 years of operational artisan experience (recommended)
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office and JD Edwards or similar systems
- Strong communication skills (English and Afrikaans)
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Ability to build relationships with internal/external customers
- Good planning, organization, and technical knowledge
Additional Requirements
- Medically fit according to Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996 standards
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license
