Northam Eland Platinum Mine is seeking a dedicated and responsible Miner Assistant to join their team.

In this role, the successful candidate will support the Miner with daily underground mining activities, contributing to the achievement of production targets.
Guided by the company’s purpose and values, the Miner Assistant will play a vital role in promoting “Smart Platinum Mining,” delivering high-quality metals including platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, and osmium.
Qualifications
- Grade 10 or equivalent
- Competent B and BA certificate of competency
Experience
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in an underground mining environment
Key Performance Areas
As a Miner Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining high standards of underground working conditions
- Performing all assigned tasks satisfactorily and competently
- Assisting the Miner/Developer as required
- Contributing to a culture of zero harm by adhering to health and safety policies and practices
- Ensuring proper housekeeping in the designated work areas as per mine standards
