Job Overview
SANParks is hiring an Interpretive Officer to develop and deliver environmental education programs, promote the park’s image, and engage with surrounding communities.
The successful candidate will report to the SET Officer and must provide their own accommodation, as there is no official housing available.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nature Conservation, Social Science, Education, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental interpretation and education
- Knowledge of Cultural Heritage Resource Management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Afrikaans
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license; PDP advantageous
- Community development experience is a plus
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and public holidays
