Location: Saldanha, South Africa
Organization: Transnet National Ports Authority (Transnet NPA)
The 24-month structured training programme is designed to develop skills in line with academic backgrounds and career aspirations, under the supervision of a qualified professional.
Position Details
- Operating Division: Transnet NPA
- Employee Group: Trainee
- Department: NGQ, WC Region, PMBP
- Reporting To: Manager – Human Resources
- Grade: INT
The internship aims to prepare candidates for future roles within the organization, particularly in the Supply Chain Management or Port Management departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow a structured training programme
- Participate in performance reviews and assessments
- Perform assigned duties as outlined in the development programme and additional tasks reasonably required by Transnet NPA
Qualifications & Experience
- Supply Chain Management Department: Degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Port Management Department: National Diploma / Degree in Corporate Communication, Public Relations, or Journalism
- Age: 18-35 years old
- Citizenship: South African Citizen

- Experience: No prior work experience required in the field of study
- Preference: Applicants within Saldanha Bay Municipality and surrounding areas
Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
- Effective problem-solving skills
