The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely completion and effective resource allocation.
This role requires specific qualifications, skills, and experience aligned with the mine’s operational needs.
About the Company
Two Rivers Platinum Mine is located on the farm Dwarsrivier, situated on the southern part of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex, approximately 35 kilometers southwest of Burgersfort, Limpopo.
Managed by African Rainbow Minerals (ARM), the mine is committed to a vision of being Safe, Sustainable, and Profitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other scheduling software.
- Define project tasks, milestones, and dependencies to create comprehensive timelines.
- Monitor project progress, updating schedules regularly to reflect scope, resource, or timeline changes.
- Identify critical paths and potential bottlenecks to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate resource allocation with managers to optimize personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Identify and analyze risks impacting project timelines; develop contingency plans.
- Generate progress reports, Gantt charts, and visual aids for stakeholders.
- Conduct schedule review meetings and provide updates to project teams and leadership.
- Highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in project management and/or engineering-related fields.
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PMI-SP (Scheduling)
- Software proficiency:
- Advanced skills in MS Project (essential)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Microsoft Office suite skills
- Power BI (recommended)
- Knowledge of mining operations, maintenance planning, and capital management.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, energetic, and flexible attitude.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996.
- Willing to undergo job-related assessments, credit, criminal, and reference checks as required.
