Job Summary
SABC is looking for a Media, Sport, and News Intern Researcher to support the Sales Division in research and data analysis related to television, radio, social media, and sports.
This 12-month graduate program aims to provide practical experience in research, trend analysis, and strategic insights to assist in business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support reporting to sales, strategy, and management teams
- Analyze large data sources to identify trends and generate insights
- Contribute to research projects on sports, news, television, radio, and social media
- Monitor live events and social media engagement
- Stay informed on local and global news, especially public interest stories
- Attend team meetings and contribute to strategic planning
- Manage research administrative tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Commerce or Science (NQF 7) with research understanding
- Strong knowledge of local and global sports, news, and social media

- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Basic knowledge of media law and ethical journalism is a plus

2. Intern – Administrator: Contracts (x2 Positions)
Job Title: Intern – Administrator: Contracts
Job Location: Johannesburg
Organization: SABC – Business Development (Video Entertainment Division)

Main Purpose
Assist in the administration of content contracts, ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and proper documentation. This role involves drafting, verifying, and maintaining contracts, as well as liaising with legal and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and verify standard and non-standard contracts
- Store fully executed contracts securely
- Assist with contract queries and timelines
- Provide legal advisory support on contracts
- Develop and maintain contract reports
- Represent the Contract Manager in meetings when required
- Ensure compliance with policies and legislative frameworks
- Load contracts into SAP CRM and IBMS systems

Requirements

Support the production team in pre-production, production, and post-production activities for sporting events. Ensure all logistics, administrative tasks, and compliance requirements are managed efficiently.

- Manage post-production archiving and labeling
- Follow up on production payments and related queries

Requirements
