Gert Sibande District Municipality in partnership with National Treasury invites suitably qualified unemployed graduates to apply for a 3-year fixed-term contract as part of the Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Graduates Programme 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain practical experience and mentorship in various disciplines.
Positions Available
1. Land Surveying Interns x3 posts
- Number of Positions: 3
- Minimum Qualification: ND in Land Surveying, BTech in Land Surveying, or BSc in Land Surveying or Geomatics
2. Geographic Information System (GIS) Interns x2 posts
- Number of Positions: 2
- Minimum Qualification: BSc in Geomatics, BSc Geo-Informatics, or BSc (Hons) Geo-informatics
3. Town Planning Interns x3 posts
- Number of Positions: 3
- Minimum Qualification: BSc in Town and Regional Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or Honours in Town and Regional Planning
4. Civil Engineering Interns x3 posts
- Number of Positions: 3
- Minimum Qualification: ND, BEng, BSc, or BTech in Civil Engineering
5. Environmental Science Practitioner Interns x2 posts
- Number of Positions: 2
- Minimum Qualification: B degree in Environmental Management or Environmental Sciences
6. Natural Sciences Interns x4 posts
- Number of Positions: 4
- Minimum Qualification: BTech, BSc, or BSc (Honours) in Natural Sciences with Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or Geo-Hydrology
Important Criteria for Applicants
- Must be suitably qualified and unemployed
- A valid Code 08 driver’s license will be an added advantage
- South African citizen in possession of a valid SA ID
- Must be under the age of 35
- Academic qualifications must align with the requirements for professional registration with the respective statutory council
- GIS applicants are requested to attach academic records along with their qualifications
- Appointment will be made in accordance with Employment Equity policies
