
The Information Regulator (South Africa)
The Information Regulator (Regulator) is a juristic person established in accordance with Section 39 of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
The Regulator operates independently and impartially, exercising its functions and powers without fear, favour, or prejudice. It is accountable to the National Assembly and has jurisdiction throughout the Republic of South Africa.
The primary mandate of the Regulator is to promote and protect the right to privacy, specifically concerning the protection of personal information and the right of access to information.
In carrying out its responsibilities, the Regulator enforces compliance with POPIA and the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA), as amended.

Important Application Submission Instructions:

Key Requirements and Guidelines:
All positions are permanent and appointments will be made in terms of Section 47 of POPIA.
Applications must be submitted using the official “New Application for Employment” form, which can be downloaded from: https://inforegulator.org.za/vacancies/.
Applications submitted with an incorrect or outdated form will not be considered. Candidates must attach a detailed, recent CV including two (2) contactable referees.
Certified copies of qualifications (not older than six (6) months) and Identity Document or Passport will be requested from shortlisted candidates only.
The application form must be signed and dated before submission. Candidates are encouraged to use their signature or valid e-signature and write their name in block letters.
Applicants must complete Parts A, B, C, and F of the application form. Part D is not mandatory if the relevant information is provided in the CV.
Foreign qualification holders must provide an SAQA evaluation certificate confirming the appropriate NQF level.
Applicants must specify their current salary notch in their CV, especially under employment history.
