The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems within a cold storage facility, ensuring continuous operation of critical equipment to support the safe storage of fruit exports.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily checks and inspections of refrigeration, electrical systems, racking, and infrastructure
- Conduct routine maintenance on refrigeration units, HVAC, and cooling tunnels
- Calibrate temperature probes for accuracy and compliance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Assist with preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
- Maintain accurate records and report faults to the Maintenance Manager
- Support major overhauls and upgrades
- Manage stock levels of spare parts and supplies
- Adhere to safety regulations including HACCP, ISO9001, and food safety standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or trade certification in CO2 refrigeration systems
- SAQCC gas handling license (Cat. A) – CO2
- 2-5 years experience in refrigeration, preferably in cold storage or food production environments
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration, electrical systems, and diagnostic techniques
- Knowledge of Danfoss controls and welding/fabrication is an advantage
Working Conditions:
- Work in cold storage environments, sometimes at heights up to 10m
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, and working at heights
- Flexibility to work overtime and emergency breakdowns
2. Maintenance Technician – Durban, Cato Ridge, KwaZulu Natal

Location: Harrison, Cato Ridge
Opportunity & Responsibilities:
Same as above, including surveying buildings, repairing mechanical systems, performing electrical maintenance, assisting with ventilation and refrigeration setup, inspecting alarm systems, conducting manual repairs, and supporting upkeep activities such as landscaping, painting, carpentry, and pest control.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and tools
- Manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, and physical fitness
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional is a plus
3. IT Support Technician – Bellville, Cape Town & Durban

This role involves supporting hardware/software, managing IT assets, training users, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and supporting office relocations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users
- Manage IT asset lifecycle, including installation, upgrades, and decommissioning
- Conduct training sessions to improve user proficiency
- Troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues and coordinate with internal/external teams
- Support hardware/software upgrades and project coordination
- Maintain accurate asset records and ensure compliance
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years in a similar IT support role, preferably in a large organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Active Directory, PC hardware, and network troubleshooting
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
