About the Opportunity
Based in Johannesburg, this programme offers a unique platform to develop essential skills in Corporate and Investment Banking.
Participants will support the implementation of Nedbank’s business investment philosophy through data analysis, research, and support functions, aligning with the Group’s strategic objectives.
Job Purpose
To assist in executing Nedbank’s investment strategies by leveraging quantitative and qualitative analysis, contributing to decision-making processes, and supporting the development of innovative solutions in line with the bank’s vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess needs and provide solutions through interaction with internal and external clients.
- Deliver feedback and business presentations to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop and maintain research data on economic, industry, and other relevant factors.
- Make investment recommendations based on comprehensive analysis.
- Identify cause and effect relationships by interpreting relevant information logically.
- Contribute to a culture of transformation via participation in Nedbank culture-building initiatives.
- Support corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with business strategies.
- Evaluate fund and investment performance through regular financial reviews.
- Enhance technical skills to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate ideas clearly in written documentation for stakeholders.
- Build industry knowledge and stay updated on regulatory frameworks and industry changes.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification or currently registered in the final year of a 4-year degree.
- 0-2 years of working experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with degrees in Business Science, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Investment Management, Sustainable or Development Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Property Studies, or Agriculture are highly valued.
