
The Department of Agriculture (DoA) is pleased to announce the availability of comprehensive bursaries for the 2026 academic year.
Closing date for all applications: 30 September 2025.
These bursaries are designed to support qualifying South African students pursuing studies in key agricultural careers.
The bursary package includes tuition fees, accommodation, books, meals, and a monthly allowance.

Important Information
- Applicants must be South African citizens.
- Applications must be submitted using the official bursary application forms available on the Department of Agriculture website (click on Vacancies).
- Applications for fields outside the listed approved courses will not be considered.
- Communication regarding application status will be limited to successful applicants only.
- If no communication is received within 14 days of the release of Grade 12 results and the finalization of the selection process, the application will be deemed unsuccessful.
- Applicants awaiting their university acceptance letter or results can submit their application but must provide the documents within three days after the January 2026 Grade 12 results are released.
- Late applications will not be considered.
- The total number of bursaries awarded depends on available budget.
- All applications, along with supporting documents (excluding affidavits), should be sent to the email address provided below.
