Purpose of the Role
The Associate Intern role provides an invaluable platform for individuals currently completing or recently completed a qualification (Diploma/Degree) in relevant fields such as IT, Cyber Security, Forensics, Networks, Procurement, Strategy, Customer Value Management, Psychometry, Finance, Risk & Compliance, or Marketing.
Interns will be placed within various divisions based on business needs and their area of study, engaging actively in team projects, operational tasks, and business processes beyond mere observation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with operational, project support, and administrative tasks within assigned divisions.
- Conduct research, compile reports, and support data analysis to aid business decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of solutions to address business challenges.
- Participate actively in team meetings, workshops, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate under the guidance of a supervisor and engage with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a work log documenting progress, milestones, and learnings.
- Uphold professional conduct, confidentiality, and company values at all times.
Qualifications & Certifications
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
Currently completing or recently completed a relevant Diploma or Degree in fields such as:
- IT & Cyber Security: BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Cyber Security, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH
- Forensics Investigation: BCom in Forensic Accounting, BSc in Forensic Science, CFE certification
- Networks: BEng in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
- Procurement: BCom in Supply Chain Management, CIPS qualification
- Strategy & Business Transformation: BSc in Economics, Data Science, Innovation Management
- Customer Value Management: BCom in Marketing, Data Analytics, or Business Science
- Psychometry: HPCSA-registered Psychometrist or Psychologist
- Finance: BCom in Accounting, Financial Management, CA(SA), CIMA
- Risk & Compliance: Degree in Risk Management, Law, or Business Continuity
- Marketing: BCom in Marketing, Digital Design, Media & Communications
- Minimum experience: 6 to 11 months in relevant roles or internships.
- South African citizenship or as per company policy.
