The Danish Refugee Council / Dansk Flygtningehjælp and the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN) invite applications for the Shift-Power Youth Action Fund.
This initiative, a collaboration between the Danish Refugee Council / Dansk Flygtningehjælp and the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN), seeks to support refugee-led initiatives and projects that actively contribute to the meaningful engagement of displaced persons.
The Shift-Power project specifically aims to bolster refugee-led projects concentrating on a diverse range of critical areas.
These include, but are not limited to: Education, Healthcare, Livelihoods, Gender Equality, Mental Health, Environmental Sustainability, Peacebuilding, and Community Integration.
This opportunity presents a chance for eligible projects to scale up their operations and gain visibility within a wider network of fellow changemakers.
Project Focus and Eligibility
The core objective of the Shift-Power project is to support refugee-led projects that are actively working towards the meaningful participation of displacement-affected young people in policy processes.
Applications that demonstrate a strong focus on this aspect will be highly considered during the evaluation process.
Projects deemed eligible for funding must meet the following criteria:
- Be community-driven.
- Be evidence-based.
- Be predominantly led and delivered by young refugee leaders aged between 15 and 30 years old.
- Operate in any location worldwide.
- Address one or more of the critical areas listed above, with a focus on working towards policy change within their specific context.
Application Process
Applications for the GRYN Youth Action Fund are being accepted on a rolling basis. There is no specific deadline for submissions. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis.
Applicants are strongly discouraged from using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their applications.
The project reserves the right to disqualify any project where the use of AI is identified. Applicants are encouraged to ensure authenticity in their submissions.
