Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking passionate and dedicated candidates to join our team as a Learning & Development (L&D) Unit Intern in Geneva.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to humanitarian efforts while gaining valuable professional experience in an international environment.
About the Role
The L&D Unit Intern will provide organizational, administrative, and communication support to the Learning & Development team.
The successful candidate will assist in the organization and deployment of learning activities, support administrative processes, and lead specific projects or dossiers under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational & Administrative Support (60%)
- Support in organizing and deploying learning activities (virtual and face-to-face), including logistics such as room booking, catering, and material preparation.
- Assist trainers with material procurement and distribution.
- Maintain and update the HR database related to learners and staff.
- Support recruitment processes, contract management, and partnership agreements.
- Facilitate onboarding and briefings for new team members.
- Organize and prepare meetings, including agenda setting, minute-taking, and documentation archiving.
- Manage information on knowledge platforms like Kompas and SharePoint.
- Support the preparation of communication materials such as activity reports and training offers.
Ad hoc Support (30%)
- Manage specific dossiers or projects as delegated by the manager, based on current needs and intern interests.
University Work (10%)
- Assist with writing university assignments related to the internship experience.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Education
- Enrolled in an administration, humanitarian or development studies, social sciences, organizational management, or relevant field.
- Must have a tripartite internship agreement.
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
Experience & Skills
- Prior work experience is not mandatory but considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian, development, or volunteer work is a plus.
- Strong skills in analysis, data management, planning, and organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaborative tools (SharePoint, Zoom, Mural).
- Knowledge of graphic editing and digital communication tools is desirable.

Terms of Employment

- Gross monthly salary: CHF 2,000
