Position Overview:
The Global Director of Child Sponsorship Operations will oversee the strategic direction, transformation, and end-to-end delivery of World Vision’s Child Sponsorship program.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring quality, efficiency, and impact in field operations, fostering a delightful sponsor experience, and driving organizational change to support our global strategy, Our Promise.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to facilitate a cultural and organizational transformation, promoting innovation, agility, and excellence in child sponsorship initiatives.
This role will also oversee the simplification and implementation of policies, strategies, and plans aligned with Sponsorship Governance, managed by the Child Sponsorship Executive Oversight Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy and Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of the Child Sponsorship Management Policy and develop a unified, partner-wide strategy to enhance performance and impact.
Collaborative Leadership: Build strong relationships across the partnership, inspire teams, and influence forums to foster a unified approach.
Innovation & Transformation: Drive continuous improvement in sponsorship programming, systems, and processes, emphasizing local-led innovation.
Operations & Program Management: Oversee sponsorship operations across 49 Field Offices, ensuring standards, risk management, and quality in sponsor and child experiences.
Marketing & Customer Experience: Lead efforts to evolve sponsorship products and experiences, leveraging technology to increase engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Systems & Digital Transformation: Modernize processes and systems to deliver seamless sponsorship experiences, ensuring safety and privacy of children and sponsors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Business/Marketing Management, or related field; Master’s or postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- 15-20 years of senior leadership experience in a complex, global organization managing impactful, mission-driven initiatives.
- Proven experience in sponsorship programming, marketing, or fundraising, with a track record of developing strategies and operating models.
- Strong ability to lead change, build high-performing teams, and influence across diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); additional languages are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally/domestically.

Compensation:
In the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $173,450 to $230,000 USD. Salary offers are based on the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
