
The Bank of Uganda invites applications for its esteemed Internship Program for 2025.
Established in 1966, the Bank serves as the Central Bank of Uganda, tasked with regulating monetary policy, issuing currency, supervising financial institutions, and maintaining the stability of the Ugandan economy.

The Bank of Uganda’s internship program offers participants an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the dynamic world of Central Banking.
Interns will be nurtured to become the next generation of financial and economic leaders, positioning them at the forefront of Uganda’s economic landscape.
Application Process:
The program will feature three (3) intakes, each lasting one (1) month, scheduled for June, July, and August 2025.
Interested candidates must submit their online applications along with the following attachments:
- A cover letter
- A recent testimonial (indicating full results for the first and second year)
- An introductory letter from their institution of study
Selection will be based on academic merit (a minimum CGPA of 3.6), continuing student status, the relevance of the course to Bank of Uganda operations, and a first come, first served basis, among other criteria.
Applicants who have submitted their applications prior to this communication are required to re-apply and submit their online applications.
The closing date for applications is 9th May 2025.
