Scholarship Overview
The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with ASU, is proud to offer unparalleled scholarships for professional certificates. These flexible, self-paced online programs empower participants to cultivate in-demand skills in either global management or supply chain management while earning ASU credits that may be applied toward a future master’s degree.
Individuals who successfully obtain an academic certificate will be automatically considered for the scholarship application process toward fully-funded online Master’s degrees.
A significant expectation of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is for recipients to leverage the skills and knowledge gained to drive social and economic growth in their home countries. Women, refugees and displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Available Programs
The scholarships are available for the following part-time, online graduate programs:
- Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management
- Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of an African country committed to ethical leadership and demonstrate community engagement.
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 33 years old on or before the application deadline.
- Leadership & Service: A demonstrated commitment to leadership and service in the community is required.
- Academic Excellence: Applicants must show a record of academic excellence and ambitions that surpass their financial means.
- Undergraduate Degree: Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree by July 2025.
- Previous Graduate Studies: Applicants must not have started or completed any other graduate or master’s degrees prior to August 2025.
Value of the Scholarship
The scholarship will cover:
- Full Tuition for ASU Self-Study Certificate Programs
- Flexible, Online Format for learning
- 1:1 Coaching & Mentorship
- Access to ASU Resources
- Opportunity to earn transferable ASU credits toward a Master’s degree
- Select participants may be awarded a fully-funded master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Leadership Management
The deadline for all applications is Sunday, 1 June, 23:59 GMT.
