Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates for the UNAIDS Internship must meet the following conditions:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate degree program at a recognized educational institution, OR have completed such a program and been awarded a degree within the past year.
- Recent graduates must begin the internship within 12 months of their graduation date.
- Candidates must be at least 20 years of age at the date of application.
- A working knowledge (oral and written) of at least one of the WHO/UNAIDS official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish) is required.
- Candidates with immediate family members employed by the UNAIDS Secretariat are not eligible. Only candidates who have NOT previously participated in UNAIDS’ internship program will be considered.
Important Notes:
- A stipend may be offered to contribute to the intern’s living expenses for candidates NOT already receiving financial support.
- Applications from individuals living with HIV, women, and nationals from non- and under-represented member states are highly encouraged.

- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, ensuring productivity and responsible use of resources.
