The Button Equity Scholarship is now accepting applications! This initiative aims to enhance diversity, inclusivity, and equity within the audiences of the Button Equity events.
The deadline to apply is May 2, at 11:59 PM CDT.
We envision a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable field of practice because conferences not only reflect the communities they represent but also actively shape them.
By founding the Button Equity Scholarship program, we are committed to building a more inclusive community that represents those who have been marginalized due to systemic oppression and exclusion.
This includes individuals residing in low-income countries.
Eligibility Criteria:
Individuals are encouraged to apply for a scholarship if they meet one or more of the following criteria:
- You identify as a Black person
- You identify as a person of color
- You identify as an Indigenous person
- You have a disability
- You identify as LGBTQIA+
- You are currently experiencing a loss of income or a financial crisis
- The cost of a conference ticket is prohibitively expensive due to your country’s currency and/or average wage
Scholarship Award Process:
Scholarships will be awarded based on need, impact, and available funds.
In instances where the number of applications exceeds the number of scholarships available, a diverse group of reviewers will assist in the selection process to ensure fairness and equity.
What Each Scholarship Includes:
Applicants selected for a scholarship to the Button 2025 conference will receive an individual pass which grants all-access to the live Button event, recordings, and swag.

We strive to make the Button event an inclusive space and value feedback from our community members.
