The Mission 300 Fellowship program is now accepting applications from young African professionals who are eager to contribute to transformational initiatives in their countries.
This prestigious fellowship will place selected candidates into government line ministries or in the offices of Presidents or Prime Ministers, in alignment with Mission 300 (M300)—a collaborative effort led by the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank to electrify 300 million Africans by 2030.
The program is supported by esteemed partners including the Rockefeller Foundation, RF Catalytic Capital, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL).
Program Overview
The Mission 300 Fellowship is inspired by the successful ODI Fellowship Scheme, which has a proven track record of embedding skilled professionals within public institutions to foster long-term institutional strengthening.
Fellows will be positioned within the Compact Delivery and Monitoring Units (CDMUs), typically hosted by influential government entities, such as the offices of Presidents/Prime Ministers or relevant energy and finance ministries.
Here, they will work collaboratively with government colleagues and Mission 300 partners to achieve the goals outlined in the nation’s Mission 300 National Energy Compact.
Through their placements, Fellows will contribute to the development and implementation of context-specific solutions addressing energy challenges, ensuring that the impact is sustainable and long-lasting.
The program aims to create a cadre of professionals committed to advancing Africa’s energy sector, similar to the legacy left by the ODI Fellowship.
