The Maria Reiche Postdoctoral Fellowships aim to support exceptional female postdoctoral researchers in their quest to independently secure third-party funding for scientific projects.
This initiative is designed to assist these scholars in establishing a robust scientific career at the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden) with the goal of achieving a professorship.
The postdoctoral phase is a pivotal time for building a scientific portfolio that is essential for advancement in academia.
To enhance this process, the Maria Reiche Fellowships enable scholars to cultivate an independent research profile, transitioning from Recognized Researcher to Established Researcher.
Fellows will receive a full-time scholarship for up to two years to develop their unique scientific profile and submit an independent proposal to an external funding body, paving their way to a professorship (potential funding sources include, but are not limited to, DFG Emmy Noether Program, ERC Starting Grant, and DFG Heisenberg Program).
Additionally, the program supports various activities through Maria Reiche Starter Kits, aimed at further enhancing one’s scientific profile.
The fellowships focus on promoting the representation of women at this critical qualification stage at TU Dresden, contributing to an increase in female scientists occupying top positions within the scientific community.
