JOB PURPOSE
The Graduate Trainee role offers a rich learning experience for motivated and innovative individuals keen on contributing to the work led by the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).

As part of the team, the graduate trainee will assist in advancing data and AI-driven initiatives, focusing on:
- Enhancing knowledge sharing and collaboration

- Building institutional memory and capacity

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organizing data from multiple sources to ensure readiness for analysis and integration into AI models.
- Perform basic data analyses and create visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards) to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members on the design, testing, and refinement of AI-driven tools for knowledge organization, retrieval, and recommendation systems.
- Help maintain the digital knowledge repository, ensuring it remains user-friendly and accessible.
- Conduct research on best practices in data and AI related to knowledge management while documenting processes, findings, and lessons learned.
- Engage with team members and program stakeholders to comprehend their data and knowledge needs, providing necessary technical support as required.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned from time to time.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications:
- Should be in the final year of or have recently completed a master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience:
- No prior work experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning techniques, data visualization, and data analytics.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning frameworks is desirable.
- Experience in conducting research and report writing is beneficial.
- Proficiency in programming languages (preferably Python and R).
- Demonstrable attention to detail is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and previous team collaboration experience.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with individuals at various levels of seniority.
