
The Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP) is seeking an intern for Fall 2025 under the Japan Chair for a World without Nuclear Weapons programme.
About VCDNP:
The VCDNP is an international non-governmental organization located in Vienna, Austria, focused on research and dialogue concerning nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
Internship Details:
- Duration: 2 to 3 months, starting ideally in September 2025
- Location: In-person in Vienna, Austria
- Compensation: Economy roundtrip airfare and a monthly stipend of 1,000 Euro
Eligibility is limited to Japanese nationals, and applications from women are highly encouraged.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on nuclear disarmament issues for the Japan Chair programme
- Assist in drafting and editing publications
- Contribute to various programmatic activities
- Engage with experts and representatives from international organizations
- Perform additional tasks as needed
Skills and Requirements:
- Must be Japanese nationals
- Pursuing or recently completed a graduate degree in a relevant field
- Strong interest in nuclear disarmament and diplomacy
- Research experience and strong writing skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in organizing events is an asset
