Funded Internship and Visiting Professional Opportunities at the ICC

Are you ready to gain practical experience and contribute to international justice? The International Criminal Court (ICC) is thrilled to announce ten funded positions for Interns and Visiting Professionals from developing countries.

Funding

This position is funded through the Trust Fund for the development of interns and visiting professionals, wherebythe Court will provide the selected candidate a monthly remuneration of €1,125 (with a mandatory deduction foremergency health insurance) as well as some financial help for travel purposes for candidates who are not basedin the Netherlands at the time of the recruitment.

Please note that (i) costs associated with Visas are theresponsibility of the selected candidate, (ii) due to the nature of the assignment, interns cannot bring their families with them.

Contract Duration
Interns are required to work full time for a period of preferably six months (dates to be agreed to prior to commencement).

Required Qualifications

Education: All Candidates must be in the final stages of their studies at a recognised university. Candidates are expected to have a very good record of academic performance.

Experience: Internship placements focus on candidates in the early stages of their professional careers therefore; practical experience is not an essential prerequisite for selection.

However, practical experience that is relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset.

Applicants must have less than three years of relevant full-time professional experience to be considered for an internship.

  • 🔹 Internship – Database and ERP Administration (Ref: 23964)
  • 🔹 Internship – Detention Center (Ref: 23867)
  • 🔹 Internship – Chambers (Ref: 23872)

Visiting Professionals:

Funding:
This position is funded through the Trust Fund for the development of interns and visiting professionals, whereby the Court will provide the selected candidate a monthly remuneration of €1,500 (with a mandatory deduction for emergency health insurance) as well as some financial help for travel purposes for candidates who are not based in the Netherlands at the time of the recruitment.

Please note that (i) costs associated with Visas are the responsibility of the selected candidate, (ii) due to the nature of the assignment, participants cannot bring their families with them.

Contract Duration : Visiting Professionals are required to work full time for a period of preferably six months (dates to be agreed to prior to commencement).

Visiting Professional placements focus on candidates who have extensive experience in their professional careers in relevant fields of work.

Practical experience that is relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset. Candidates for a Visiting Professional placement must have at least 3 (three) years of relevant professional experience.
