The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an esteemed international organisation made up of 38 members, focused on devising improved policies for a better quality of life.

Internship Description
The OECD Internship Programme invites highly qualified and driven students from diverse backgrounds to join the Organisation.

Interns will engage in projects aligned with the Strategic Orientations of the Secretary-General and support the corporate functions of OECD.

This programme primarily aims to hone candidates’ analytical and technical skills in a multicultural environment.

Successful interns will conduct research and assist Policy Analysts in various fields, including (but not limited to):

  • Agriculture and Fisheries
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Bribery and Corruption
  • Digitalisation
  • Education and Skills
  • Global Relations
  • Health
  • Science and Technology
  • Transport

Interns placed in Corporate functions may work in areas such as:

  • Communications and Public Relations
  • Finance, Budget, and Accounting
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Legal Services

Interns may expect to perform tasks such as:

  • Preparing studies and documents
  • Conducting research and reviewing materials
  • Analyzing and organizing data
  • Contributing to publications and documents

  • Participating in meetings and seminars
  • Networking with officials and stakeholders
  • Organizing events and communication strategies

Qualifications Required

Academic Background:
Candidates must be full-time students enrolled in a degree programme relevant to the OECD’s work during the internship.

Professional Background:
International experience through academic or professional activities is desirable.

Skills and Tools:

  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis and computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in one of the OECD’s official languages (English or French) and/or familiarity with the other to a working level.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through academic and professional experiences.
  • Deep interest in OECD’s international cooperation efforts.
  • Independent research planning and execution capabilities.

Additional Information

Contract Duration:
Internships last between one and six months, with the possibility of renewal up to twelve months.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from candidates interested in joining OECD, subject to availability and need.

Due to a thorough selection process that may take up to three months, early application is highly recommended, clearly indicating the availability in the application form.
