Position Details:
The selected intern will work within the Digital Communications team, supporting the enhancement of UNDP’s web presence globally. Responsibilities may include:
Backend Development:
- Drupal-specific feature development
- Third-party integrations for Drupal
- Bug fixing and implementation of user feedback
- Development of Drupal theming and automated tests
DevOps/System Operation:
- Maintenance and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines
- Development and integration of external services
- Automated performance monitoring for security
Competencies Required:
Candidates are expected to have:
- Knowledge of PHP and experience with Drupal framework
- Proficiency in frontend development languages such as Javascript, CSS/SASS, and HTML
- Familiarity with web development tools (Git, VS Code, basic shell scripting)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- An interest in global issues and working in a multicultural environment
Education and Experience:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
(a) Be enrolled in a graduate school program;
(b) Be in the final year of a first university degree program;
(c) Have graduated with a degree and must start the internship within one year of graduation.
