What to Expect
Before submitting an application, please consider the following:
- Start Date: This position is expected to begin around August or September 2025 and will continue through the Fall term, ending approximately December 2025. If available, there may be an opportunity to continue into Winter/Spring 2026.
- Duration: A minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, is required for most internships.
- Eligibility: Our internship program is designed for students actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment should apply for full-time positions instead of internships.
- International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school regarding your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying, as many students may be limited to part-time during the academic year.
Internship Program at Tesla
The Internship Recruiting Team at Tesla is passionate about recognizing and nurturing emerging talent.
This year-round program aims to place the best students in positions where they can grow technically, professionally, and personally.
Interns will work closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team, gaining hands-on experience and participating in projects critical to team success.
About the Team
The Design Studio content team plays a key role in defining and maintaining Tesla’s tone of voice across customer-facing content, which includes web communications, emails, in-store posters, and various other materials.
This team ensures that all communications are accurate and consistent for both future customers and current owners.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Design Studio content and copywriting team globally across all customer-facing communications, both digital and printed.
- Learn and implement the Tesla brand voice in all written communications.
- Ensure accuracy in tone, product descriptions, and specifications across all completed assignments.
- Write copy for customer communications based on provided briefs or outlines.
- Adhere to project deadlines and communicate milestones to project partners.
- Proofread and edit drafted copy from internal teams.
- Investigate and validate copy for accuracy.
- Brainstorm creative and innovative ways to engage with both customers and owners.
- Track and log content analytics.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field.
- Interest in technology and/or sustainability.
- Ability to deliver quality writing under tight deadlines.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Bonus: Experience writing for a school newspaper.
