Role Summary
The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is excited to announce a Recruitment Coordinator position based in Nairobi.
In this full-time role, the successful candidate will join our Africa regional recruitment team, actively driving our ambitious plans for growth.
The Recruitment Coordinator will play a vital role in coordinating an exceptional Talent & Recruitment process and supporting a vibrant, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Recruitment Coordinator will:
Act as an Ambassador: Collaborate with the regional recruitment team and the global People Team to represent the Institute positively throughout the recruitment processes.
Define and Streamline: Work closely with Recruiting Managers and stakeholders to establish a seamless Talent & Recruitment process aligned with team needs and funding requirements.
Talent Acquisition Administration: Implement innovative methods for talent acquisition, evaluate performance through key metrics, and enhance recruitment standards continuously.
Active Candidate Search: Conduct active sourcing of candidates on platforms like LinkedIn and other relevant talent sites.
Ensure Operational Excellence: Monitor recruitment operations regularly, improving performance while upholding excellent customer service.
Job Posting and Application Management: Collaborate with teams to ensure proper posting of new roles and efficiently sift through applications.
Candidate Experience: Engage positively with candidates, ensuring a smooth journey from sourcing through to onboarding.
Data Management: Maintain recruitment metrics, ensuring cleanliness and accuracy for reports and data visualizations.
Administrative Support: Assist with preparing Employment Agreements, managing staff files, and coordinating onboarding procedures.
Project Coordination: Support various Talent & Recruitment functions, contributing to initiatives such as the TBI Graduate Associate Internship programme.
Support HR Operations: Provide support to the Africa People team as needed, ensuring smooth HR operations and an exceptional employee experience.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate for the Recruitment Coordinator role will possess:
Experience: 3-6 years of in-house and agency recruitment experience; prior experience in management consulting or professional services is advantageous.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
Analytical Communication: Capacity to analyze and convey complex information in a consultative manner to internal stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with familiarity in using an ATS (Workday preferred).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and collaborative spirit.
Flexibility and Innovation: A flexible working style accommodating various jurisdictions and an innovative approach to recruitment, with a focus on process improvement.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional administrative skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
