Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled HR Advisor to support our teams in West and Central Africa.
Reporting to the People Business Partner – West & Central Africa, this critical role involves collaborating with leaders and People Operations colleagues to execute the Institute’s talent strategy and foster organizational growth. We seek a candidate with significant HR experience in diverse and fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support cross-Institute strategic talent management initiatives alongside the People Business Partner.
- Proactively administer all HR processes, including onboarding, contract management, promotions, and flexible working requests.
- Ensure data integrity in our people management system, keeping employee information current.
- Assist with audits and manage supplier relationships, including invoicing and reporting.
- Maintain and co-create content for our Learning & Development platform.
- Handle Employee Relations cases, including disciplinaries and grievances.
- Produce HR reports and coordinate onboarding processes.
- Lead data administration within our people management system.
- Administer payroll cycles across various countries.
- Support and eventually lead HR projects and initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Person Specification
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Capable of managing conflicting demands and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Discreet and respectful of confidentiality in sensitive matters.
- Knowledge of West & Central Africa employment law and modern People Team functions.
- Administrative experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate competency in the MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with international employment law is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in Human Resources with relevant professional qualifications.
- Proficiency in both French & English (verbal and written) is a significant asset.
- Eligibility to work in any of the locations mentioned.
