This scholarship program aims to cultivate the next generation of interdisciplinary space professionals at IHE Delft’s esteemed MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development, starting in early November 2025.

Scholarship Details
Overview of the Scholarships
ESA will award two scholarships that cover full tuition fees for the 2025-2026 MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development.
This initiative aims to deepen academic expertise and prepare candidates for lucrative careers within the water sector, leveraging innovative space and earth observation technologies, including remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the ESA Academy Academic Scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements by the start date of the academic programme:
- Be at least 18 years old at the commencement of the academic programme.
- Hold nationality from any of the 23 ESA Member States, three Associate Member States, or Canada.
- Not be attending the academic programme as an incoming Erasmus student.
- Not receive any additional financial support to cover tuition fees.
- Agree to the conditions of the ESA Academy’s Privacy Policy.
- Accept the guidelines of the ESA Academy Academic Scholarship.
Priority Selection
Candidates who meet the following criteria will be given priority:
- Those not previously sponsored by ESA.
- Individuals with less than 2 years of professional experience.
- Those expected to benefit significantly from financial support.
- International students with diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

- Academic merit.
