
The International Nuclear Security Education Network (INSEN), established in 2010 by the IAEA, invites students and early career professionals to submit applications for a unique opportunity aimed at fostering future nuclear security specialists.

What’s Happening?
To celebrate 15 years of INSEN, the IAEA has launched INSEN for Youth, intended to offer educational, training, and research opportunities related to nuclear security.
Why Apply?
Selected applicants will have the chance to:
- Participate in the INSEN Annual Meeting in Mito, Japan, from 10 to 14 November 2025.
- Present their papers and engage in workshops and panel discussions.
- Network with key figures in the nuclear security field.
- Enhance their personal and professional skills.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates must be university students (undergraduate and graduate) or early career professionals from INSEN member and observer institutions with less than five years of work experience in nuclear security. Special encouragement is given to women and individuals from developing countries.
Application Process
Interested candidates should submit:
- A CV (maximum two pages).
- A short paper (600-1000 words) on nuclear security.
- Deadline: Applications must be submitted by 15 May 2025, 11:59 PM.
Terms and Conditions
- Open to applicants from all INSEN member and observer institutions.
- No entry fees are required.
- Selected candidates must provide identification documents and handle their travel arrangements to Japan.
