Positions Available:
Curriculum Developer – Youth Leadership Academy
- Timeline: April 2025 – June 2025
- Purpose: Design and develop a curriculum for a 4-day in-person Youth Leadership Academy for youth aged 16 to 18, emphasizing global development, global citizenship, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Curriculum Developer – Teacher’s Leadership Institute
- Timeline: April 2025 – June 2025
- Purpose: Develop a curriculum for a 4-day in-person Teacher’s Leadership Institute aimed at equipping high school educators with resources and strategies to foster global citizenship and development themes in their classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive, interactive, and youth-centered or educator-focused curricula.
- Ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and gender perspectives are integrated throughout the curriculum.
- Collaborate with AKFC staff and partners to align with best practices in youth leadership development or educator professional development.
Qualifications:
- A degree in education, international development, youth leadership, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in designing curricula and workshops for youth and/or educators in a Canadian context.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
