The Z Zurich Foundation is excited to announce the opportunity for young leaders to apply for the Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2025.
Recipients will have the chance to participate in the One Young World Summit 2025, taking place in Munich, Germany, from 3 – 6 November.
This prestigious scholarship aims to empower 25 young leaders who are actively contributing to preventive mental well-being projects, adaptation-focused climate resilience initiatives, or efforts enabling social equity through education, employability, or entrepreneurship solutions.
About the Scholarship
At the Z Zurich Foundation, the mission is clear: to create brighter futures for vulnerable populations. The Foundation focuses on three critical pillars: adapting to climate change, improving mental well-being, and enabling social equity.
These areas present urgent challenges with significant implications for individuals and communities globally.
The Foundation believes that by fostering connections among those with the knowledge and those in need, meaningful societal change can be achieved.
Focus Areas
Candidates are sought who demonstrate an active commitment to grassroots initiatives in one or more of the following focus areas:
- Adapting to Climate Change
Projects that empower communities to adapt to climate change and enhance their resilience against its impacts. - Improving Mental Well-being
Initiatives that prioritize the prevention and promotion of youth mental well-being, addressing risk factors and fostering supportive environments. - Enabling Social Equity
Programs that dismantle barriers to education, employment, and entrepreneurship, equipping young individuals with the necessary resources and skills to achieve their potential.
Scholarship Benefits
Chosen scholars will receive:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich
- Participation in additional scholarship programming organized by the Z Zurich Foundation, including pre and post-Summit sessions and an impact-focused development day
- Hotel accommodation in Munich from 1 – 6 November (inclusive)
- Return air travel
- Catering, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Ground transportation between Summit venues in Munich
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2025
- Have a passion for local and global issues
- Demonstrate a commitment to creating positive change
- Be willing to engage with fellow scholarship recipients and Zurich Insurance Group employees at the Summit
- Show proven impact in areas aligned with Z Zurich Foundation’s work:
- Improving Mental Well-being
- Enabling Social Equity
- Adapting to Climate Change
(Note: Candidates over the age of 30 may be considered based on their personal impact and initiative. Individuals under the age of 18 are not eligible.)
