The Thurgood Marshall: McDonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship 2025

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s proudly present the Black and Positively Golden® Scholarship Program.

This scholarship not only eases the financial burden of attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) but also champions mental health and personal development among Black students aspiring to achieve academic excellence.

Targeting outstanding students enrolled in HBCUs, the Black & Positively Golden Scholarship Program will award $1 million in scholarships during the 2024-2025 academic year.

With a total of 63 scholarships available, each recipient can receive up to $15,000—equating to $7,500 per semester—to help cover essential costs such as tuition and fees.

In addition, the program integrates mental health support by providing access to the Black-owned mental health app Alkeme, which offers a curated library of resources from Black mental health professionals.
