Responsibilities
The selected experts will contribute to FAO’s efforts in enhancing community-led forest production and protection. The specific tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments of community-based forestry regimes for improving forest conditions and livelihoods.
- Researching enabling factors and barriers in community-based forestry and small-scale forestry.
- Drafting technical reports and publications on relevant topics.
- Providing technical support for field project implementations.
- Assisting in the development of training materials and sharing knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in forestry, natural resources management, social sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in sustainable forestry practices at local or community levels.
- Proficiency in one of the official FAO languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish).
