Apply by 25 April 2025 to help transform urban societies’ relationship with blue ecosystems and foster local collaboration for a healthy environment!

Background Information:

The Youth4Ocean Forum is a vibrant initiative dedicated to empowering youth engagement in ocean advocacy and freshwater protection throughout the European Union.

Our aim is to inspire a generation of young leaders who will take action in their communities to foster a healthy relationship between urban societies and their surrounding blue ecosystems.

This year, we invite young visionaries to step forward as EU Young Ocean Advocates, paving the way for transformative community-based solutions that protect our seas and rivers.

What is Blue Citizenship?

Blue Citizenship represents the intersection of ocean literacy and civic engagement. It empowers individuals and communities to actively participate in safeguarding freshwater and marine ecosystems.

By bridging the gaps between urban lifestyles and blue environments, stakeholders can more effectively advocate for policies and local solutions that promote sustainable practices.

This approach enhances public participation in environmental decision-making, thereby strengthening local democracy and encouraging resilient urban planning.
