The Center on International Cooperation (CIC) at New York University (NYU) is seeking an experienced Program Officer (Researcher) to join their dynamic team.
Position Overview
As a Program Officer (Researcher) for the Multilateral Reform Program, you will work under the guidance of the Program Director and senior program staff to deliver high-quality research and impactful publications.
Your role will involve developing strategies, managing program development, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Research Contributions: Collaborate with senior staff in the design, execution, analysis, and writing phases of the research process as outlined in the CIC’s Research Business Plan.
- Program Support: Assist program directors and senior officers with innovative research approaches and policy implementation.
- Event Coordination: Organize high-level meetings and events, manage publications, and produce content for various communication channels.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead outreach efforts and foster partnerships with UN entities, member states, civil society, and research partners.
- Publication Writing: Create concise, policy-oriented publications and communicate the program’s work through blogs and social media.
Qualifications
Required Education
- A master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education).
Required Experience
- A background of 7+ years in the government, non-government, or multilateral sectors.
- Detailed understanding of the UN’s inner workings, including the Security Council and General Assembly.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Extensive experience in research, analysis, and drafting policy materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with high-level officials.
- Proven experience in problem-solving and effective coordination within culturally diverse settings.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with CIC research areas and prior work with national and international bodies.
- A track record of successfully managing diverse assignments under pressure.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position ranges from $67,275 to $93,150.
