- Program Operations or Special Opportunity Fund (SOF) Intern
- Accounting & Grants Management Intern

1. Program Operations or Special Opportunity Fund (SOF) Intern
Internship Overview
The Program Operations or SOF Intern will contribute to the Foundation’s mission by assisting in programmatic activities, community outreach, engagement efforts, philanthropic requests, and administrative tasks.
This position will enhance the intern’s understanding of the philanthropic landscape and allow them to develop critical skills in communication and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate independently and with teams on special projects.
- Manage project planning and coordination for presentations and events.
- Draft correspondence and manage communication channels.
- Organize and support community convenings and events.
- Conduct research and prepare meeting materials.
- Perform due diligence for grants or investments related to housing justice and wealth-building initiatives.
Skills Developed
Interns will gain knowledge of the local philanthropic ecosystem, enhance their relationship-building abilities with community leaders, and foster overall communication skills.

- Duration: June 6 – August 14
- Compensation: $20/hour
- Location: Downtown Los Angeles Offices

2. Accounting & Grants Management Intern
Internship Overview
The Accounting Intern will work closely with the Controller and Grants Management team to gain firsthand experience in various accounting tasks such as month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
This role will also provide exposure to the grants management process and the operational aspects of a philanthropic organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end accounting tasks and financial management.
- Update budget reports and analyze variances.
- Participate in special projects focused on accounting and grants management.
- Develop skills in data collection and document organization.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, motivated, and possess prior experience with basic accounting practices. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, are also required.
