This role is vital in supporting the Accreditation Panel and the Adaptation Fund Board to enhance climate change adaptation efforts in developing countries.
The successful candidate will assist in managing accreditation processes, facilitating workshops, and maintaining communication with key stakeholders involved in climate adaptation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation for Accreditation Panel and Board meetings, including document preparation and logistics coordination.
- Screen accreditation applications and guide applicants in submitting complete packages.
- Conduct desk-based quantitative analysis using the Accreditation Workflow system.
- Assist with outreach on accreditation processes and share best practices within the community.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field such as finance, business administration, or law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in research and operational tasks.
- Familiarity with the Adaptation Fund accreditation process is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is desirable.
- Experience building capacity in public organizations in developing nations is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
