About the Challenge
Following the success of the inaugural edition in 2024, which attracted 139 participants from 49 countries, the Women in GovTech Challenge returns in 2025 with expanded scope and partnerships, including collaborations with the World Bank, the DPI Safeguards Initiative, and TalTech, under the stewardship of the UN Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies and UNDP.
This challenge plays a crucial role in Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation and Bridging the Gap through Mentorship.
Despite global commitments to gender equality in digital transformation as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), women remain underrepresented in GovTech.
The GovStack Women in GovTech Challenge 2025 aims to change that by empowering women to design inclusive, citizen-centered digital government services while fostering a vibrant international network of women leaders.
