If you’ve got a passion for tourist guiding and want to make a difference, this is your chance to shine!
🌍 Location: We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals from the Fezile Dabi District Municipality in the beautiful Free State Province.
✨ Who Can Apply? This program is all about empowering unemployed youth aged 18 to 35 who are eager to kick-start their careers as Nature and Culture Site Guides at the magnificent Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site.

- Craft a Short Motivation: Write us a fun one-page letter sharing why you deserve to be part of this amazing training program.
- Include Your Details: Make sure to add your full name, surname, and a certified copy of your South African ID with your application.
- Your Application Packet: Along with your motivation letter, shoot us your CV and certified copies of your qualifications.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Unemployed youth between 18 and 35 years old.
- Have a Matric certificate or something equivalent.
- Be literate and can hold a conversation in English.
- If you’ve got qualifications in tourism or environmental fields, that’s a bonus!
- Live within 40-60 km of the Vredefort Dome (don’t forget to include proof of residence, like a municipality bill or a letter from a tribal authority, dated within the last 3 months).
- A genuine passion for tourism and some basic knowledge of tourist guiding will be super helpful!
🔍 What Happens Next?
After you send in your application, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and may go through a vetting process. Be ready to sign a learner contract as a commitment to this exciting journey!
🚫 Important Note: Only one learner per household can apply, and we can’t accept affidavits for proof of residence.
